Glacier Bond Metal Primer

Description

Glacier Bond Metal Primer is a rust primer and sealer for metal roofs. Glacier Bond is a water-based, acrylic, surfactant-free primer that is used to encapsulate existing rust and prevent further ‘top-down’ corrosion. This material provides a new level of protection for poorly prepared steel, aluminum, and copper metal roof panels.

Product Instructions

Apply Glacier Bond by brush for spot treatment of rusted areas and by brush or airless sprayer across the field of the roof. Spot treat existing rust on metal roof panels, then spray Glacier Bond across the field of the roof to seal against future surface rusting. Roof panel seams and joints are treated with Glacier RV and fabric, providing watertight integrity at typical leakage points where significant panel movement can be incurred by thermal shock and high winds. A minimum of 2 spray coats of Glacier RV provides a finishing ‘wear’ coat, reflecting ultra-violet rays and providing considerable substrate cooling and protection against the debilitating effects of rain, wind, and sun.

Clean Up: Thoroughly clean and rinse application equipment with fresh
water.
